Tours on this website are operated by Guiding Star Ltd in Jerusalem and Guiding Star Agency in Amman, Jordan. Guiding Star Ltd in Jerusalem was established in Jerusalem in 1961, while the branch in Jordan - Guiding Star Agency - was established in 1968.

With offices in Jerusalem and Amman we are ideally placed as a Tour Operator for the Holy Land and Jordan, and for tours that combine or cross both countries.

History:

Guiding Star was established by Gabriel and Delia Khano in 1961, a year after they were married in Bethlehem. Delia, born in the UK and a graduate of Oxford University, met Gabriel in 1959 on her first visit to the Middle East. Gabriel had been working as a guide since 195l. After they were married Gabriel's mother said: "East meets West".

Gabriel and Delia have now handed the running of the company to their children, who continue the ethos of service, attention to detail and, above all, an understanding of the kind of experience that each group or traveller to the Holy Land is looking for.

Mark is the General Manager of Guiding Star. He joined the company in 1985 after graduating from Oxford University. Mark oversees the Jordan office and the business and financial side of the company.

Mark Garbett is the day to day Operations Manager at Guiding Star. He joined the company in 1990 and is a graduate of Birmingham University and has an MBA from the Kellogg program at the University of Tel Aviv.

With offices in Jerusalem and Amman, and through the experience of constantly crossing back and forth between the two offices, we know how to organize tours that straddle the border.
